Where we're at....

Hello!
As usual, I have neglected an area of development I wanted to keep up with.
The down and dirty of our application development.

For one year and eight days we've been building Safepost, a hosted patient safety management system. Actually, we've been working on in a bit longer and have taken a few detours along the way. We've done some significant work for the Duke Executive Health Program and their innovative Web-based Patient Portal and we've done some consulting for web.com helping them work on some user interface guidelines.

All the while, diligently working on Safepost.

Quick backtrack:
Months of paperwork gathering, reading, constructing master data dictionary.
Paper and digital prototypes.
Flex component scavenging.
Architecture specifications.

Since August, we have our servers in place at Hosted Solutions. They are a super hosting company with rock-solid security and redundancy.

A couple of things I will add to in sebsequent posts that we've accomplished:
Our choice for development environment
Patient History Timeline using similie
ICD-9 Browser
Drag-and-drop survey builder
VoiceXML and SMS reporting
Printable/Faxable PDF forms
Submitting and Reviewing Events
Building Reports
and maybe, if we can squeeze it in, the dynamically generated wayfinding system we are working on.

That's all for now.
Back to building,
Betsy
